Since the reform of the social courts came into effect on 1 January 2019, the ENM has provided initial training for all the assessors in the social divisions of the newly-named judicial courts, as well as the assessors in the division of the Court of Appeal of Amiens, which has jurisdiction in disputes concerning insurance rating of workplace accidents. The assessors must have completed their training before taking up their duties.
Aims
The training offered by the ENM provides new assessors with the knowledge and techniques they need to fulfil their duties in the following four areas: judicial organisation, status and ethics of the assessor, principles applicable to proceedings before the social courts, and the main principles of social protection.
Training
The ENM provides the equivalent of 1 day of e-training encompassing 4 modules for assessors in the social divisions of the judicial courts. The School also provides assessors with a documentation pack containing all the materials and knowledge covered.
