<p>After training alongside the 2020 intake of French trainee judges and prosecutors for 6 months, 4 trainees from Niger, Mali and Egypt took the oath at the Court of Appeal of Bordeaux on 11 December. This will allow them access to judicial case files, court hearings and deliberations during the 4-month court internship that they will undertake from 8 February 2021 onwards. On completing their year in France, they will continue their training as judges and prosecutors or return to their posts in their respective countries. Here are their personal accounts.</p>
